Close of escrow

Closing Day: Almost There!
You’ve made it through showings, negotiations, and escrow—and now it’s nearly time to celebrate! But before we pop the champagne, here are a few final steps to wrap up.
Final Walk-Through
This quick visit (usually the day before or day of closing) allows the buyer to confirm that the home is still in the same condition as when they made their offer—no surprises, no leftover items, and everything in working order. It’s more of a formality, and we’ll guide you through it.
Cancel Utilities & Services
Once we have a closing date, we’ll provide a checklist with key contacts to cancel or transfer your:
- Utilities
- Internet & cable
- Trash services… and anything else that needs a smooth sign-off.
Be Ready for the Unexpected
Even on closing day, things can pop up—a loan delay, a last-minute repair, or a paperwork hiccup. Luckily, we’ve seen it all and we know how to handle it without drama. Our job is to keep things calm and solutions-focused, so your deal stays on track.
Signing & Settlement
At closing, you’ll review and sign the settlement statement, which outlines all financial details of the transaction. If you can’t attend in person, no problem—we’ll coordinate a remote closing or power of attorney signing.
Once everything’s finalized:
- You’ll hand over the keys, garage openers, and any important documents
- The buyer takes ownership
- Your proceeds are either wired to your account or issued by check
And just like that—you’ve sold your home!
Need help planning your move-out, donating furniture, or organizing your final clean? We’ve got you. From day one to closing day, we make sure no detail is left behind.
